- After college served as an officer in the United States Navy for five years, serving at sea in the Pacific and on shore in Naples, Italy
- After the military service opened a law office in Camarillo, CA. with an emphasis on Probate, Will and Trusts.
- Member of the California State Bar Association. Served as Judge Pro Tem for the Ventura County Courts.
- Active in community affairs, including Camarillo Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Ventura County, Boy Scouts of America, Rotary International, and Pleasant Valley Hospital Foundation, among others.
